Welcome at the Department of Analytical Chemistry

Prof. Dr. Günter Gauglitz

Since 1987, Prof. Dr. Gauglitz has been Professor for Analytical Chemistry at the University of Tübingen. The Analytical Chemistry Department is one of the five Departments of the Institute of Physical and Theoretical Chemistry at the University of Tübingen.

The development of optical chemo- and biosensors has been the focus of our research activities for the last 5 years. But interesting results have also been achieved in the field of optical spectroscopy, detection problems in chromatography, photokinetics, and the investigation of photochrome systems.

Through the participation in many national and international research projects funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, the European Commission, the BMBF, and the Arbeitskreis Industrieller Forschung, we have experience in working with R&D organisations and companies.
